Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS)

EU rules restricting the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment to protect the environment and public health.

RoHS compliant components are tested for the presence of Lead (Pb), Cadmium (Cd), Mercury (Hg), Hexavalent chromium (Hex-Cr), Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), Bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP),  Dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP).

The RoHS mark located in our brochures, catalogs, and/or e-catalogs indicates the product either does not contain the ten (10) Restrictive Substances of the European Directive (2015/863/EU amends 2011/65), is less than the threshold value or, is included in the applicable exemption.

Note: RoHS mark does not indicate whether the product is CE Compliant or Non-Compliant.

(*1) Threshold value is, whether consciously or not, the maximum concentration value set for each homogeneous material which cannot be mechanically disjoined into different materials.

(*2) The control of the RoHS Directive 10 substances shall be applied to the products sold as RoHS compliant products and their parts.

How to check RoHS by Product

- Each product has "RoHS" information in product detail page, under Basic Information Table "RoHS" tab and,

- RoHS "green color" logo shown in each of product cover photo.

- "RoHS with 10 value" means RoHS compliant and "NIL" means RoHS non-compliant.
